ADHD at Work – What Actually Helps Focus and Performance

Focus and performance are things we expect at work. But for a growing number of people, they don’t come easily – even when effort and intent are there. With more people diagnosed with ADHD, and many others questioning their own focus and consistency, work can start to feel harder than it should. The default advice is usually simple: be more organised, manage your time better, try harder. But when priorities constantly change, expectations aren’t clear, and structure is inconsistent, those messages don’t help. Focus drops, consistency suffers, and people are often misunderstood or labelled unfairly. ⭐ Supporting ADHD at work isn’t about labels or lowering standards. ⭐ It’s about clearer expectations, better structure and fewer moving targets. ⭐ When work is designed well, focus and performance improve for everyone. So if we need to be more aware of different ways people focus, think and work… where do we actually start? My guest on this episode is Michelle Flynn. Michelle is a Health, Performance & ADHD Coach, with a 20-year background in recruitment including 8 years as a top performer at SThree's Computer Futures and experience running her own successful recruitment business with a 100% hit rate. She now coaches recruitment leaders and / or their teams to improve wellbeing, reduce burnout and enhance productivity and consistent performance. We will cover: 💡If you think you might have ADHD, what helps focus at work straight away 💡What people misunderstand most about ADHD at work 💡How leaders can support neurodivergent teams and keep standards high If focus and consistency feel harder than they should, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss. I look forward to having you there.
